Managing water scarcity on the Canary Islands

In order to draw attention to water scarcity faced by many island regions worldwide, Dr. Laura Dierksmeier (Tübingen) and Dr. Miguel Gómez Gómez (Tenerife) have explored the long history of water shortages on the Canary Islands and written a script for a brief educational video. I had the honour to edit this video for them. In addition to the English version with voice-over by Laura, we have produced a Spanish version with voice-over by Miguel:

The ambient track in the intro and outro is “The Sea is Our True Home” by Dr. John Carter Wood (Mainz). If you would like to explore John’s music, please visit his channel on SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/transitsofmars…

Funding for the video production came from the SFB 1070 at Tübingen University and the DFG Island Studies Network, Project Number 452312841.
